For this role we require a specific candidate in order to care for a specific client, therefore you must meet the following criteria if you are applying for this job:

  • You must have previous care experience, specifically dementia care. As well as mental health and/or learning disabilities experience
  • You must be male and be under 30 years old
  • You must be able to relocate to Devon to provide live-in care for this client
  • You must speak and understand fluent English
  • You must enjoy sport, rugby in particular
  • You must be able to deal with challenging behaviours and have impeccable patience
  • You will be asked to prove your right to work in the UK, so ensure you have the relevant documents for this check

Dementia-Experienced Live-in Carer Requirements

Live-in help our clients to complete a wide range of everyday tasks, enabling them to continue to living independently for as long as possible. As an live-in carer, you will:

  • Support with bathing, dressing and toileting
  • Support with incontinence care
  • Administer medication
  • Prepare meals and wash dishes
  • Complete household chores such as laundry, ironing, dusting and hoovering
  • Offer mobility support around the home
  • Run errands
  • Feed, walk and care for a pet
  • Take your client out and about in the community (for shopping, appointments)
  • Provide emotional support
  • Provide companionship and most importantly, be a friend to your client

Dementia-Experienced Live-in Carer Benefits:

Competitive pay - £650 before tax, per week, for this specific placement. For all other placements, the pay scale is £500-£700 before tax per week

Support and advice 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from a company with 26 years’ experience 

Up to 28 days paid holiday including bank holidays (pro-rata)
